For our third visit back to this fantastic resort we just had to return to Kabuki – the 1 Michelin-starred Japanese restaurant at The Ritz-Carlton resort. This visit we dined twice as the food was exquisite and again lived up to it’s ‘best Japanese restaurant in Europe’ status. Mouthwatering, visually spectacular, if you are visiting Tenerife (South) Island then this restaurant has to be on your to-do list.
Whilst all the dishes were stars in their own right, this visit 3 (and this was a hard call) stood out and need a special mention: the fried aubergine, the fatty tuna with Dijon mustard and the truffle quail eggs. Enjoy these photos we took during our visits, they bring back fond memories (we didn’t get a chance to photograph every dish eaten)…salivating is an understatement.
Fried Aubergine with Miso sauce, shallots, sesame and sprouts Nasu Kamo. Free range grilled Chicken with lime, ginger and teriyaki Yakimono. Beef Hamburger with onion and tomato Nigiri. Cucumber and Salmon Maki.
Japanese omelette Nigiri. Fatty tuna flamed with Dijon mustard. Salmon with avocado puree. “Wagyu” beef loin Nigiri.
Japanese ‘Sunrise’ digestif. Fried Quail egg with white truffle Nigiri. Yuzu mousse with Champagne jelly. Passionfruit Mochi.
